Artist's Comments

Gift art for *-licia-, who won first place in my contest.

As usual, plain Bic ballpoint on Canson 224g drawing paper. I really enjoyed designing this, especially the hands, but it's something I definitely still need practice with.

You're too good, you know that?

The hands are escher-esque, how they are so realistic, yet attaced to very surreal arms.

Fabulous darling, very skilled for ball-point pen to. Your values are great, and your style of representing the human form is very intruiging. Well done^^

Wow. The hair looks so realistic. And the hands look odd but still so real, so beautiful. Can't believe you made it just with Bic ballpoint.

Faved and loved.

I'm most impressed by the hair (then again, I like shiny things) and I have to admit that I've been staring in awe at it for quite some time now. Excuse me while I go stare at it again.

...

Did I say I love it yet? I really dig the water drops hanging off the silk threads (if that is what it is, otherwise I still like it, so there) and the massive amounts of Burtonness in it all.
