Threepenny Opera (Dreigroschenoper): Macheath the Knife and his girls, left to right Fanny, Suky, Jenny, Lucy, Polly and Mary.

Not really sticking to a specific canon. I like book-version Polly a lot, playing the piano, there's mostly the 2006 anniversary Berlin play as reference for how Lucy looks, Jenny is Miss Lotte Lenya, and Fanny and Mary only appear in the book, but I took some artistic liberties here. Suky Tawdry only gets a mention, but since she was in the John Gay original as well, I really wanted to include her.

:) That's just awesome. LOVE.
That's very pretty! It reminds me of a stained glass window. Which are the best kinds of windows. :)

Obscure fandoms are like win x 1000.

Solle Arts, on the other hand, are win x 218978350235890235023.9

So watery... and yet there's a smack of ham to it.
I knew this was going to be twenty kinds of awesome when you mentioned it and I was not dissappointed. I love the kind of dark, earthy, even bloody colour scheme it seems to have; it fits right in with the criminal half-world from which Dreigroschen sprung. I also really dig the contrasts between the areas of flat, negative space with the fleshy, organic constructions of the background and of Mackie's girls. In short, yes, obscure fandom is obscuuuuuure, but in spite/because of that, this wins at least one hundred internets and oh, oh, I loves it so.
I am loving the contrasts in this piece. It feels very surreal, but at the same time hard and gritty. Excellent work.
Hooray for freaking obscure and awesome to the nth degree fandoms!
